Athlete Profile

Click on your name in the top right corner and then on “Athlete Profile”. On the left, you will now see various menu items, which we will briefly describe in this article.

Overview

Here you have an overview of all your appointments that have been scheduled for you. If you click on an appointment, you will be taken directly to that event and see all the details that your coach has entered for it. At the top, you can also use the “Activities”, “Sessions”, and “Competitions” buttons to display only certain appointments.

You can also display the calendar as a weekly or daily overview.

Very useful: You can export your training and competition data. Click on “Subscribe Calendar” in the top right-hand corner and import the link displayed into your private calendar (Google, Apple, Outlook, etc.).
The data is updated automatically and regularly, so your calendar is always up to date. For more information, see the article Import Force8 Coach calendar into your personal calendar.

Status

Here you can enter your global status – e.g. whether you are healthy, injured, sick, on vacation, etc. This allows users who have access to your data to stay up to date.

Your global status is set to “Healthy” by default. This means that when your coach schedules you for a training session, your event status for that training session is automatically set to “Available”.

Scroll down and click on the “+Add New Status” field under “All Status” on the right to enter a new status. Select the appropriate status from the drop-down menu under “Status”, enter the dates from when to when, and write a note if necessary.

There is also an option to “Automatically Excuse from Events”. If you activate this option, the selected status will affect future or already scheduled trainings. If your trainer schedules a training within the period you specified and your global status is not set to “Healthy”, the event status for this training will automatically be set to “Excused”.

Finally, click on “Save”.

If you want to edit or delete a status, click on the “pencil icon” on the right-hand side of the line for the corresponding status to make adjustments, or on the “trash can icon” to delete the status.

Personal Details

Here you can enter or edit your personal details, contact information, and sports-specific details. You can also upload a profile picture here. Click on the pencil icon in the top right-hand corner of the photo placeholder, select a photo, and click on “Save”.

If necessary, you can also enter or edit your bank details, your social security number, insurance details, and your doctor’s contact information.

Club Details / Federation Details

If your club or federation works with the “Fields Configurator” module, you can use this tabs to fill in the fields created specifically for your club or view information provided by your coach.

Height/Weight/ Heart Rate

Here you can enter your height and weight. Simply click on “+ New”. You can also enter or edit your maximum heart rate. When you enter your maximum heart rate, your heart rate zones are calculated automatically. However, you can also adjust these values yourself.

Other Contacts

Here you can enter or edit the parents’ contact details.

Integrations

Here you can link to an external provider. Polar, Garmin, and Suunto are available. To link your account to Force8 Coach, slide the slider next to “Authentication” to the right. You will be redirected to the Polar, Garmin, or Suunto website. Enter your user data here. Your account is now linked to your Force8 Coach account. To disconnect the link, simply slide the slider back to the left.

For more information on importing heart rate data, see the article Add heart rate data to a training.
