Follow these step-by-step instructions to learn the basics of Force8 Coach and quickly become productive with it.
Step 1: Activate your account
Before you can start, you must activate your account. The club admin or your coach will send you an activation email. For more information, see the article Activation of your Force8 Coach account.
Step 2: Install the web app
You can install Force8 Coach as a web app on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: Install Force8 Coach Web App (mobile, tablet, desktop).
Step 3: Manage account
Your current global status is displayed at the top of your account (more on this in step 7). Below that, you will see the sport, the current season, and the club logo.
If you click on the bell, you will see all status notifications, for example, if a coach has changed your status for a training or competition. The red dot indicates that there are new notifications.

By clicking on your name on the far right, you can access “User Profile” or “Athlete Profile”.
- Under “User Profile”, you can change your personal details, language settings, and password, among other things. For more information, see User Profile (Athlete).
- In the “Athlete Profile”, you will find a calendar overview of all your appointments, among other things. You can also enter your doctor, insurance, or bank details, provide information about your height and weight, and save additional contacts. For more information, see Athlete Profile.
Step 4: Set default dashboard
There are three different dashboards available to you: “Overview”, “My Schedule” and “Calendar”. You can find out what information each dashboard displays under Dashboard (Athlete). There you will also find instructions on how to set one of these dashboards as your start page.
Step 5: Subscribe to the calendar
Force8 Coach offers you the option of synchronizing your Force8 Coach calendar with your personal calendar (e.g., Google, Outlook, or Apple). We explain exactly how to do this in the article Import Force8 Coach calendar into personal calendar.
Step 6: Event Status (unsubscribe from a training)
With the help of the Event Status, you can unsubscribe from a training or competition with just a few clicks. Your coach can see your current Event Status at any time and recognize which training or competitions you have unsubscribed from. We explain how you can change your Event Status here: Unsubscribe from a training.
Step 7: Global Status
You can use the Global Status to let your coach know if you are injured, ill, or on vacation, for example. This ensures that all users who have access to your data are kept up to date at all times.
By default, your Global Status is set to “Healthy”. This means that if your coach schedules you for a training, your Event Status for that training will automatically be set to “Available”.
You can find out how to change your Global Status and how to specify that a change in Global Status automatically affects your Event Status here: Athlete Profile (Status).
