First Steps (Family)

Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up your Force8 Coach account correctly so that you can start working quickly and productively.

Step 1: Activate your account

Before you can start, you must activate your account. Your club administrator or coach will send you an activation email. For more information, please refer to the article Activation of your Force8 Coach account.

Step 2: Install the web app

You can install Force8 Coach as a web app on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: Install Force8 Coach Web App (mobile, tablet, desktop).

Step 3: Manage account

Your account displays the sport, the current season, and the club logo at the top.

Clicking on your name on the far right takes you to “User Profile” or “Family Profile”.

  • Under “User Profile”, you can enter your personal details, upload a profile picture, set language preferences, and change your password. You can also specify which clubs are allowed to view your profile.
  • In “Family Profile”, you will find a calendar overview of all your athletes’ events, among other things. You can also enter medical, insurance, or bank details, provide information on height and weight, and save additional contacts. For more information, see the article Family Profile.

Step 4: Set default dashboard

There are three different dashboards available: “Overview”, “My Schedule” and “Calendar”. When you are in “My Schedule” or “Calendar”, click on the “orange star” to set this dashboard as your home page. If you do not select anything, the “Overview” will be displayed as your home page.

Step 5: Subscribe calendar

Force8 Coach offers you the option of synchronizing the Force8 Coach calendar of your assigned athletes with your personal calendar (e.g., Google, Outlook, or Apple). We explain exactly how to do this in the article Import Force8 Coach calendar into your personal calendar.

Step 6: Event status (unsubscribe from a training)

With the help of the event status, you can unsubscribe your assigned athletes from a training or competition with just a few clicks. The coach can see the current event status at any time and recognize which training or competitions the athletes have been deregistered from. We explain how you can change the event status of your athletes here: Unsubscribe from a training.

Step 7: Global Status

With the help of the global status, you can inform the coach whether your athletes are injured, ill, or on vacation, for example. This ensures that all users who have access to the data are always up to date.

By default, the global status is set to “Healthy”. This means that if the coach schedules your athlete for a training, the event status for this training is automatically set to “Available”.

You can find out how to change the global status and how to specify that a change in the global status automatically affects the event status here: Family Profile (Status).
